About the role
This presents an amazing opportunity for a leader who is keen to make a difference and improve environmental outcomes for the North Coast region. In this role you will drive the strategic direction and operational delivery of North Coast LLS NRM programs. Leading a team of skilled staff you will work closely with stakeholders across the community, including landholders, to protect and enhance environmental assets. The Team Leader supports the design and leads the delivery of major NRM investment including Marine Estate Management, Koala Recovery, Australian Government Investment and NRM NSW Flagship projects.
Within this role you will:
Oversee the design and delivery of NRM programs including waterway health, habitat management, threatened species and environmental markets.
Develop and maintain key NRM stakeholder relationships
Foster professional partnerships, drive innovation and collaboration both across government and with external stakeholders
Work independently, leading a small team, collaborating effectively and providing inputs to strategy and planning processes
Contribute to Regional Leadership.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Strong leadership skills
Strong project management, negotiation, problem solving skils
Excellent communication skills to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders and build partnerships
A passion to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex natural resource management issues
A working knowledge of the legislative and policy framework underpinning natural resource management in NSW
A Current NSW Class C Driver
Skills to lead a multidisciplinary team to work together with a range of external and internal stakeholders.

A recruitment pool may be created for ongoing and temporary roles of the same role or role type that may become available for filling over the next eighteen months.
