National Parks and other protected areas cover a vast area of South Australia and involve a suite of complementary and conflicting land uses, legal and policy challenges, and community expectations. The Team Leader, Park Strategic Projects provides very high-level policy advice and leads the delivery and implementation of Strategic Projects to resolve complex protected area management issues. The Team Leader supervises a senior team that delivers high profile commitments such as the proposed Flinders Ranges World Heritage listing and protected area related legislative reform.What can we offer you!

OngoingEssential Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in public policy or law is highly desirable.
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current class “C" driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential.
- Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required, including travel in light aircraft.
- May be required to work outside of the normal hours of work, including the occasional overnight absence.
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain an NPC.
