About the position

Council’s City Works Department is looking for a Team Leader Roads who will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Infrastructure Maintenance (Roads, Signage & Line marking) team to ensure the efficient and productive delivery of maintenance works and programs with the Council area.

The main responsibilities will include: 

• Assist in the delivery of infrastructure maintenance programs for civil infrastructure including roads, bridges, footpaths, signage, line marking, drainage assets and minor infrastructure.
• Ensure that works and services performed are completed to program, budget and to the required technical, safety and environmental standards.
• Assist with the management of budgets and relevant budget reporting.

This is a full time role working 38 hours per week based on a 9 day fortnight at 8.44 hours per day 

About you

• Knowledge and understanding of Road maintenance plan (RMP) principles and practices.
• Ability to work in a quality assurance and continuous improvement environment.
• Ability to work in an environment of rapid and constant change.
• High level of computer literacy and personal computer application experience, including a detailed understanding of the workings of an Asset Management Information System.

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated between $78,589.24 to $90,272.36 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
