About the role
The primary purpose of this complex and challenging role is to coordinate administrative services in various outpatient departments that are governed by the Ambulatory Care Business Unit (ACBU). This position must play a proactive and integral role in supervising frontline and back of house administrative staff, ensuring that they provide exceptional customer service with a focus on Patient and Family Centred Care and fulfil required administrative functions and responsibilities including processing referrals, responding to patient and clinician enquiries, organizing clinic bookings and Medicare billing in an efficient, professional and timely manner and in accordance with the standards stipulated in the NSW Health Outpatient Services Framework.

Demonstrates ability to exercise initiative, work independently, maintain attention to detail and perform all tasks with discretion, judgement and confidentiality as circumstances dictate.
Has previous administration and customer service experience demonstrating high level of interpersonal, written, verbal and telephone communication skills as well as experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation of challenging or difficult situations.

About working for SLHD
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030)
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
