About the Role

At Home Care is looking for a Team Leader to join our disability services team to oversee and assist our care team and clients at our Supported Independent Living (SIL) House in Dianella.

The Team Leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality support, creating outcomes, and providing a safe and welcoming home for our clients. The successful candidate will foster an inclusive, respectful culture and demonstrate the ability to bring out the best professional qualities within the team to ensure exceptional service delivery.

With a team of Support Workers, the Team Leader will also be hands-on in providing day-to-day assistance to adults living with disability – supporting them to live independently and helping them work toward their goals and discover new passions. About You:

  • Strong background within the Disability Services Industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve outcomes.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships, promote services and resolve client concerns that may arise.
  •  Decision making and problem-solving skills to innovatively manage the provision of service delivery.
  • A demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to managing the sensitivities of client and employee issues, escalating matters where required
  • Time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
  • Experience with overseeing administration, documentation, and diary management.
  • Experience inducting and training Support Workers.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, and calendar management software to prepare correspondence and effective documentation.
  • Certificate III or IV or Diploma level qualification in Individual Support or Community Services  or substantial experience in the Disability sector.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Evidence of Covid 19 Vaccinations
