The RoleWe are looking to appoint a Team Manager to join our Business Development (BD) team based in our office at St Peters, Sydney.
This role will be responsible for:
- Working with senior management to plan and direct the activities of the BD team to meet predetermined sales targets.
- Managing business development initiatives and assisting in marketing campaigns in various domestic and international regions.
- Developing a solid understanding of technical services and their typical implementation and value to various clients.
- Working closely with the technical experts in the various fields the team supports. Assist experts maintain client communication throughout the project and beyond completion.
- Preparing market analysis and identification of new or existing business opportunities. Sales tracking and close interface with the CPP US office Sales and BD team.
- Managing pipeline activity from lead generation to contract award and sales follow up. Reviewing the BD team’s presentations, proposals, etc.
- Training and mentoring the professional development of the BD team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven sales ability.
- Demonstrated relationship management, negotiation, persuasive ability, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to deal with clients at all levels and working with CPP technical experts to translate client needs into a complete solution.
- People management, coaching and training experience.
- Management, business, accounting, marketing and reporting skills highly desirable.
- Knowledge in an engineering discipline, ideally in the building industry preferable.
This role would suit someone with an engineering or technical construction field background that has developed a client/relationship focus through their career so far. May have worked in a sales, consultancy, project management or an accounts/relationship management position in a technical field within the building industry.
