As a Tech Lead for Woolworths MarketPlus, you will play a critical role in our new organisation's success by leading one or more engineering squads, contributing to strategic direction, and executing plans to achieve business outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work end to end, including product management, experience, and architecture, to ensure the seamless development and delivery of our marketplace platform.
What you'll do:
Software Development: Lead key areas of the development of our group marketplace platform, driving its growth, scalability, and performance to meet customer and business needs.
Team Leadership: Manage and lead one or more engineering squads, working closely with delivery to ensure high quality and best practices.. Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative team culture.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across banners, architecture, and group IT to ensure alignment with group technology standards and best practices. Maintain strong relationships to support our technology ecosystem.
Tech Leadership: Take ownership of key foundational roadmap priorities that align with our strategic goals, supporting their implementation through the squads.
What you'll bring:
Quality and Engineering Standards: The ability to set and maintain high engineering standards, processes, and best practices to deliver top-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Tech Strategy: Contribute to our tech strategy, ensuring the most effective and modern approaches are used to help achieve our goals.
Full Stack Development: Work on back-end tasks such as architecting and designing REST API's, understanding and modifying existing implementation, and front-end tasks such as UI Component creation.
Partnerships: Partner with product, experience, and architecture teams to influence our products' direction and lead one or more squads to execute on this.
Leadership: Experience and ability to drive these teams to achieve their goals.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
