Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
To be successful, the shutdown team must collaborate closely with other teams within the wider operation, and business to ensure the plant remains reliable, with an ongoing focus on safety and continuous improvement. As the Technical Coordinator, your role will be to work with internal stakeholders and our vendor partners, supporting the technical aspects of mechanical maintenance during shutdown execution including quality control and scope management.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrating a strong safety commitment in line with the Fortescue values
- Plan shutdown execution framework within a planning rhythm, working closely with asset owners, planning department and shutdown schedulers
- Identify and develop mechanical scopes for execution
- Review and optimise shutdown scopes
- Provide in field technical support to vendor partners and internal stakeholders
- Manage all aspects of quality control during execution
- Manage asset reliability with maintenance tasks by engaging with the asset owners and planning against budgetary requirements
- Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives in between shutdowns
Qualifications and Experience
- Mechanical Trade Background and/or Engineering Qualification is essential
- Previous experience in shutdowns and mechanical maintenance within a fixed plant processing facility leading trade personnel
- Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large scale processing plant
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cohesively in a highly dynamic team environment
- Excellent time management, and the ability to meet deadlines and milestones
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and computerised maintenance management systems such as SAP is required
