Technical Delivery Lead

Position Description:
This role will work as a Technical Delivery Lead providing technical leadership to optimize the build and performance of the BICES AUS stand-alone network IT infrastructure aligned to the approved design(s), and for a team of five engineers (Network, Wintel, Gateway).
Investigates and manages the adoption of tools, techniques and processes (including automation) for the build, service improvement and support of the greenfield sovereign data centre.
Oversees the planning, installation, maintenance and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure components and infrastructure based services. Aligns to service expectations, security requirements and other quality standards.
Ensures that operational procedures and documentation are fit for purpose and kept up to date. Ensures that operational issues are identified, recorded, monitored and resolved. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists, key stakeholders and the BICES Project Manager.
Responsibilities include;

• Team leadership and hands on role.
• Responsibility to ensure that the build is as per the approved designs.
• Assist with writing/reviewing build documentation and Technical Implementation instructions.
  Skills and Experience:
  Mandatory:
• Strong Windows, LINUX, VMWare, Network and familiarity with ISM and Federal Government security.
• In a leadership role for the last three years.
  Desirable:
• Experience in Splunk, NetApp, NSX, MECM
• Experience in Defence security
  Security Clearance:
• Have at least a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance before commencement of work.
  Availability
  The role is available immediately through to 30 June 2024, with two 12 month contract extension options.
