Our client, a small asset-focussed Federal Government agency located in Gungahlin, ACT, requires an experienced Windows Platform Specialist for a long 12-month contract.
Duties
- Provide technical support for application software, communications equipment, operating system and hardware.
- Maintain production, development, disaster and test systems infrastructure, including designing, installing and configuring associated equipment.
- Apply knowledge of ASD cyber security compliances to ensure that software systems are securely protected, patched and backed up.
- Document operational procedures and change management processes, paying close attention to detail and considering the needs of the end user.
- Participating in the planning, design, development and implementation of end user computing environments, policies and standards.
Selection Criteria
- Microsoft Windows Server Edition 2003-2019 operating environment
- All aspects of Microsoft Backoffice products particularly Microsoft Exchange, Proxy/ISA, IIS, Skype for Business and SQL.
- Strong Microsoft 365 background (deployment and management).
- Compute, Network, Analytics, Security, Database, Identity, etc. in Azure and/or AWS.
- Citrix Xenapp and associated clients.
- Third party financial analysis add-ins and performance management products.
