A 12 Month Contract opportunity is available for an Infrastructure Delivery Lead to work for an established Financial Services company. It is a newly created position which will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of key infrastructure projects and services.
Role Overview
As the Infrastructure Delivery Lead, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high quality infrastructure solutions that support business objectives. You will leverage your expertise in infrastructure engineering, systems, networks, hosting, and cloud technologies to drive projects from inception to completion. Your role involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the infrastructure teams, and ensuring adherence to service management and operational standards.
You will be the linchpin in coordinating efforts across technical and business teams, managing project risks, and ensuring that all infrastructure changes align with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeframes.
- Technical Leadership: Provide deep technical expertise in infrastructure domains, including systems, networks, hosting, and cloud environments.
- Service Management: Implement and uphold service management practices in line with ITIL frameworks to ensure consistent and reliable operations.
- Project Coordination: Support project managers in coordinating complex infrastructure projects, providing business analysis and technical guidance as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate project progress, and facilitate the delivery of infrastructure changes.
- Advocacy: Act as a strong advocate for the infrastructure teams, ensuring their needs and capabilities are represented in broader project discussions.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices to maintain the integrity and security of our IT environment.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure delivery and changes, ensuring proactive problem resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the infrastructure space, leveraging industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Experience: Extensive experience in delivering complex infrastructure solutions, preferably within the financial services or a similarly regulated sector.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in infrastructure technologies, including systems, networks, hosting, and cloud computing.
- Service Management: In-depth knowledge of service management principles and ITIL practices.
- Project Coordination: Proven experience in coordinating projects, with strong business analysis skills to support project planning and execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to senior management.
- Advocacy: Demonstrated ability to advocate for infrastructure teams and ensure their perspectives are integrated into project plans and decisions.
- Policy Enforcement: Experience in enforcing standards and policies to maintain robust and compliant infrastructure environments.

- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: ITIL certification is required; additional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or relevant technical certifications are highly desirable.
