About the role
Due to ongoing growth of our global Smart Transport business, we are seeking a Technical Leader to join our Smart Transport team in Canberra to provide Technical Leadership for clients, team and management across the Service Delivery team.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide Technical Leadership for asset management services
- Be an initial point of contact to triage and lead resolution for major incidents associated with assets and be a primary escalation resource for technical issues
- Manage centralised service centre in Canberra for Australian Smart Transport including device: repairs, warehousing and stock audits
- Physical management of field activities for installed assets; moves, adds and changes
- Support customers and subcontractors when they are diagnosing complex Level 1 hardware issues either face to face, over the phone or via email
- Provide Technical Leadership and support for the entire methodology processes relating to product lifecycles, asset lifecycles, support lifecycles and operational practices.
About you
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant leadership position
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in similar role, including maintenance of electromechanical and electronic devices.
- Ability to understand underlying solutions on all applicable technologies provided to current and upcoming clients.
- Demonstrate highly developed leadership skills for communication, motivation, teamwork and proactivity
- Ability to conduct in field and workshop based electronic repairs and provide ad hoc and planned leave coverage for field service engineers.
- Ability and willingness to work shifts within 6am-7pm timeframe during business days
- Solid understanding of product, asset and support service lifecycles to drive technical solutions.
- Awareness of warehouse operations to manage a self-user store
- Ability to provide input into product design and selection to minimise ongoing service and maintenance costs and effort for Smart Transport devices
- Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety procedures and safe work practices
- TAFE Certificate III Electronics and Communications or equivalent industry experience
- A valid Australian Driver’s License
