About the Role
Liebherr Maritime Cargo & Construction Division is seeking an experienced Technical Manager. Reporting to the Head of Customer Service, in this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day service operations and will lead an experienced team servicing our customers throughout Australia. This dynamic role is suited for someone with extensive experience in the industry and has knowledge of maritime cranes including harbour mobile, ship, gantry cranes and reach stackers etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Service team and workload.
- Provide advice and guidance to technicians and customers.
- Manage financial responsibilities for the Service department.
- Maintain and develop long-standing professional relationships with new and existing customers.
- Pursue new and existing service sales opportunities.
- Coaching and development of Service Team
- Ensure behaviour is consistent with business values and expectation/s.
- Work constructively to deliver the strategic goals.
About you
- Trade qualifications in Auto Electrics, Mechanic, industrial electronics or similar
- Sound technical knowledge and experience with Liebherr maritime cranes and related equipment
- Shows capability in creating a sense of partnership and forging strong relationships.
- Ability to manage departmental P&L’s, quotes, WIP & invoicing; and to identify areas for improvement or additional business opportunity.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Hold a current driver’s license.
