We seek a confident and well organised person for this full time role based at Mawsons Echuca technical office, reporting to the Technical Division General Manager.
This role is part of a professional team responsible for ensuring the quality of all Mawsons concrete and quarry products. Regular travel across Mawsons service area is essential and a company vehicle is part of an attractive salary package. The successful candidate will have an engineering degree, preferably in civil or related disciplines. Ideally, they will have extensive work experience in the concrete/ quarry/construction or civil industry.
Duties will include;
- Co-ordinating internal and external concrete and geotechnical construction materials testing;
- conducting annual product compliance testing for key product tender submissions;
- conducting tender reviews including understanding contract construction drawings and specifications;
- remaining up-to-date with relevant Australian and TfNSW testing standards;
- providing support to regional and site managers in relation to product technical issues;
- Manage day to day operations and tasks of direct report/s effectively and professionally;
- having a sound knowledge of concrete mix designs and production, or a willingness to gain such an understanding;
- delegating and managing any external work to be completed for project requirements in a timely manner;
- maintaining quality assurance records, including a central database for all quality records; and
- establishing a sound understanding of NATA testing guidelines and the requirements of ISO17025.
