As we expand our market presence, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled Technical / OEM Door Hardware Sales Representative to join our team.

The Role

As a Technical / OEM Door Hardware Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by nurturing relationships with cabinet makers, builders, designers, and end users across Melbourne. Your expertise in door hardware solutions, coupled with exceptional communication skills, will enable you to provide tailored recommendations and technical support, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with cabinet makers, builders, designers, and end users.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with OEM partners.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the target market segments.
  • Providing expert guidance on door hardware solutions, including product selection and customization options.
  • Delivering engaging presentations and product demonstrations to clients, showcasing the features and benefits of our offerings.
  • Collaborating with the internal sales and support teams to address client inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Preparing accurate sales forecasts and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Proven track record of success in technical / OEM sales, preferably within the door hardware or construction industry.
  • Deep understanding of door hardware products and components, including locks, handles, hinges, and accessories.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clientele.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Australia to meet with clients and attend events as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
