Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, our Technical Program Director will spearhead major transformational projects for Aussie Broadband to keep us on track with “changing the game” even further for us as an organisation and the telco industry alike.
With a plan to become the 4th largest telco in Australia by 2025, we need a superstar to establish and deliver on technology led transformation which will implement effective program governance and frameworks as well as hands on delivery of workstreams that are required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Strong demonstrated experience in technology implementation ideally within the Telecommunications or IT sectors.
Technical background in software engineering, architecture, networks, or data
Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and complexity in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience in establishing and managing complex programs of work
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including Executives and Board Members
Sound knowledge of formal project management methodologies
Experience managing external suppliers of technical services and resources
Experience in delivering successful technology and/or business improvement projects ideally within the Telecommunications or IT sectors
As our Technical Program Director, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes:
Program GovernanceEstablish effective program governance for strategic coordination of all workstreams and dependencies to enable effective and efficiency of program delivery. This includes understanding the business impact to prepare the business for change and new ways of working.
Lead the day to day of program governance, reporting and review frameworks to provide holistic view of the transformation program status and activities.
Ensure an effective risk management culture across the program and at all levels are comfortable raising and managing risks and issues.
Provide constructive feedback and support on workstream approaches and methodologies to ensure activities will deliver required outcomes, including design, testing, integration and migration.
Have a deep understanding of all components of the transformation and dependencies.
Foster collaborative and mutual supportive relationships with project team and stakeholders
Provide thought leadership to program/project team members to ensure milestones are delivered successfully in accordance with delivery framework
Provide advice and mentor more associate analysts and managers.
Work with the Strategic Projects Team to contribute to the development of PMO framework and support the implementation of common project management practices, standards, and tools to drive and facilitate successful delivery of all projects and programs
Contribute to new and innovative project management approaches and tools and embed new ways of working in day-to-day activities of the project management team.
