Due to our expanding business across Australia, we are seeking a highly motivated Technical Salesperson to further grow our customer base and increase the sales of our monitoring solutions. Qualifications & experience
- To be successful in this role, you should have previous sales or account management experience with a technical background.
- Mining, Oil & Gas, and Chemical processing industry exposure is highly regarded
- Highly motivated, energetic and goal-oriented
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Problem-solver and a good negotiator
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel
Tasks & responsibilities
- Identify new sales opportunities by researching potential customers and current customers through referrals and networking
- Develop a list of prospective customers in their territory in order to schedule appointments
- Train and support end-users when required
- Attend relevant trade shows and participate in industry networking groups to build brand awareness
- Follow up on sales leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, website, and other sources
- Maintain a prospective sales pipeline, and move opportunities through the pipeline to meet monthly targets
