Technical Sales Consultant

Encore Monitoring provides specialized industrial monitoring sales and service solutions to the Mining, Oil & Gas, and other Industrial sectors. As a leading supplier of Gas Detection and Environmental monitoring solutions, we partner with global suppliers to deliver best-in-class solutions. Due to our expanding business across Australia, we are seeking a highly motivated Technical Salesperson to further grow our customer base and increase the sales of our monitoring solutions. Qualifications & experience

• To be successful in this role, you should have previous sales or account management experience with a technical background.
• Mining, Oil & Gas, and Chemical processing industry exposure is highly regarded
• Highly motivated, energetic and goal-oriented
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Problem-solver and a good negotiator
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel

Tasks & responsibilities

• Identify new sales opportunities by researching potential customers and current customers through referrals and networking
• Develop a list of prospective customers in their territory in order to schedule appointments
• Train and support end-users when required
• Attend relevant trade shows and participate in industry networking groups to build brand awareness
• Follow up on sales leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, website, and other sources
• Maintain a prospective sales pipeline, and move opportunities through the pipeline to meet monthly targets
