About The Role
Working within an efficient and supportive team environment and reporting to the Sales Manager of the Water Division, there will be a focus on key account management to strengthen relationships with existing customers.
You will be responsible for day-to-day company sales, including take offs from drawings, tender preparation, and converting quote opportunities to sales. Using a professional and friendly approach, there will be a focus on solutions-based team selling, as well as resolving customer commercial and technical queries in a timely fashion.
Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to prepare sales estimates
- Respond to customer queries via phone and email
- Qualifying, submitting and following up proposals in a timely manner
- Negotiation of sales proposals to conclusion and coordinating with production
- Assisting the broader team and clients with general administrative tasks
- Building rapport and relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Driving your own knowledge of business product and industry trends
About You
This position would suit a Technical Sales professional with experience or high interest in construction, and/or hydraulic engineering with an ability to understand both customer needs and technical problem solving. Experience performing in a sales team and being able to interpret construction drawings will be highly regarded.
Key skills and attributes required for this role are:
- Excellent customer service experience
- Experience supporting an internal/external sales team
- A team player, driven and goal orientated – with a can-do attitude
- Confidence in speaking with customers on the telephone
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate computing skills and knowledge of software, e.g. Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- An understanding of industrial businesses
- The drive for continuous improvement and career progression
- A technical or mechanical aptitude
