The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will develop technical solutions with customers through close collaboration with engineering and design teams to leverage PWR’s product and service capabilities to commercialise opportunities and deliver value to the customer and PWR. This role requires someone with a strong sales mindset to win new opportunities for PWR and deliver exceptional customer service and technical support from order placement to delivery of the project.

• Customer correspondence – collaborate on technical and commercial opportunities for new and on-going projects with customers.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and production teams to develop project solutions.
• Develop project timelines and detailed quotations for submission.
• Release and co-ordination of projects for manufacture.
• Ensure customer requirements for quality and project timing are being met through manufacture.
• Work closely with procurement and suppliers to source unique project materials or services when required.
• Product development and improving engineering processes.
• Leverage product knowledge and technical understanding to assist with new sales opportunities.
• Analyse data from wind tunnel or vehicle testing to facilitate product evaluation and development.

Your Skills and Experience 

• Ideally you will have relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar industry qualification and experience.
• Strong sales experience, ideally from a motorsport or automotive background
• Proven manufacturing experience
• Ability to problem solve with a result focused approach
• Advanced level computer skills
• Ideally you will have some experience in managing design processes and competent use of CAD for component or project review.
• Excellent technical customer service skills with strong commercial acumen.
• Good management and communication skills backed by technical understanding of PWR products and processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong team player
