The Role
We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Welding Sales professional to join the NSW Sales Team as a Technical Sales Representative, servicing the Newcastle; Hunter Region and surrounding industry regions (located in Newcastle, Hexham).
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Grow and develop new business in the fields of hardfacing, weld reclamation and wear resistant welded products and services within the sales territory
- Sell to end users and distributors; provide product knowledge and quality technical assistance
- Actively promote weld clad wear plate products and services
- Maintain and retain existing business with your outstanding customer relations
- Assist with formulating and implementing long term business, marketing, sales and project development strategies
- Be proficient in Word / Excel, Outlook - SAP/CRM desirable.
- Excel with your time management and reporting skills
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of welding and cutting processes and associated equipment/consumables along with welding applications in engineering, fabrication, mining, oil and gas or pipelines.
You will be a Sales professional with 5+ years Sales and Account Management experience in an industrial market, have a professional presentation, be self-motivated and have the confidence to establish new business opportunities, alongside the ability to sustain customer relationships are all key for this role.
The ability to network and develop relationships with key distributors and end users is also essential to this role. Naturally, there will be a requirement for travel in this role based on your customers and sales territory and work overtime as required.
