control systems (instrumentation and valving) market. This business has an
established and very credible reputation in the Newcastle/Hunter area
to help develop a loyal customer base. With access to globally
renowned process control suppliers, they take pride in consistently
providing exceptional service to our customers.
You will need experience with heavy industry ( understand the type of clients) and how to put together complex mechanical or electrical packages for them.
About the role:
Our Newcastle/Hunter operation requires a solutions-focused and Technical
Sales Representative to service existing customers, manage client
accounts and uncover new sales opportunities.
In this varied role you will:
· liaise with customers (via phone, email and face to face)
· advise them on product offerings and provide product information
· provide solutions to help them make purchasing decisions
· research items that will suit them and go the extra mile to
service their needs
· produce quotes, update the CRM, maintain quality of process
· liaise with suppliers
· manage the order process from woe to go
· follow up on any outstanding invoices
About you
You are personable, results-oriented and analytical, with a drive for
finding solutions. With a background in engineering (ideally in a
sales capacity), you are technically minded and a bit of a tinkerer at
home. You are quick to understand complex processes and products, and
you are great at talking technically in a clear, consultative manner. Positive can do attuite to building relationships.
Skills
A general mechanical and electrical aptitude is preferred in water,
heavy industry or mining sectors but not essential. Ideally you have worked in a similar role; perhaps you have been exposed to instrumentation and valving in a different capacity and you are passionate about systems.
