Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you play an integral role in helping to lead a team of Technical Mining Professionals.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing key Technical Services and advice to the Technical Services Team and operational departments, in-line with the requirements of relevant QLD Legislation, Standards and Environmental Procedures.
- Assist in leading the Technical Services Team (Surveyors, Geologists, Engineers) to deliver on production plans, budget, reconciliations, stat plans, geotechnical advice and compliance to plan.
- Effective management of consultants and contractors engaged within the department.
- Maintain designs, schedule and operational control for daily to 12-week mine plans.
- Managing the preparation and development of mine plans with consideration to business risk, financial optimization and quality.
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of reporting.
- Relevant experience as part of a technical team at a coal mine.
- Previous leadership experience in positions that have required multi-functional stakeholder interactions and relationship management.
- Demonstrated capabilities to problem-solving including challenging the norm and being resourceful.
- Relevant experience in the key function of the role.
- Substantial Mine Planning, Scheduling, and Drill & Blast experience
- Good understanding of the Environmental obligations and processes in QLD.
- Can apply contract management practices and manage costs and delivery of scope.
- A willingness to be part of a winning team that delivers together.
- This role is offered as FIFO, DIDO, or Residential on a 9-day fortnight basis
