Chemetall acts as a standalone subsidiary of BASF, supplying a wide range of specialty chemical products for surface treatment, food and beverage, aerospace, and industrial applications. Chemetall aims to foster strong working relationships between its employees as a foundation to tackle and resolve today’s challenges and to make Chemetall a global market leader both now and in the future.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a site based role that forms part of the ANZ Leadership Team. It has direct management of three Chemists. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Management of the technical service function for the factory, sales personnel and customers
- Co-ordinate the trialing and introduction of new products and processes
- Provide technical support to the Sales Function to assist the achievement of business development strategies and growth targets.
- Ensure adherence to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures
- Undertake the Trade Control Officer (TCO) duties for Chemetall, ANZ and ensure the Company is compliant with trade control regulations.
Ingredients for Success
- Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Substantial subsequent training and experience in management within chemical industries is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes
- At least 5 years experience managing a team
- Strong leadership capability and mentoring skills
Remuneration
An annual remuneration package of $115,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
