Technical Trainer

What you’ll be doing

The Maintenance Support is a highly skilled team of Technical Instructors, Technical Trainers and aircraft maintenance specialist's delivering training and support services to the whole of Virgin Tech, Virgin Engineering and approved contractors. The training group develops and delivers both CASA Part 145 and Part 147 courseware and is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance with regard to maintenance authorisations and safety system training.

As a Technical Trainer you will be responsible for delivering high quality learning solutions in initial and recurrent training for front line team members for Virgin and tech and other areas of Engineering function.

This role can be based at either the Brisbane or Melbourne Hangar!

This will include but not be limited to…

• Carry out high quality delivery of training courses for initial and recurrent BAU by via classroom, practical computer based and coaching
• Maintain operational knowledge and skill. Maintain close relationships with other instructors to ensure best practices are identified and shared. Seek regular feedback from peers and course participants
• Create memorable and meaningful learning experiences and positive learning environments for participants that encourage ongoing learning and development and support Adult Learning Carry out assessments in a fair and consistent manner
• Research develop and prepare technical training material. Consistently look for areas of improvement to keep the content fresh and up to date
• Have complete oversight of training plans, attendance and training records. Ensure all training record and attendance records are maintained accurately and are efficiently entered into the LMS post certification

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

• Relevant qualification Technical/Non-technical equivalents
• Significant aircraft maintenance experience and airline operations
• Experience in delivering training content in a regulated environment
• Excellent Communication and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written skills
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft maintenance and appropriate regulatory requirements
