Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.
The Role:
This role will take responsibility for providing both Technical Writing and Quality Assurance support, to one of our major iron ore projects. We're looking for someone with a strong background in technical writing within the mining & resource industry, as well as some experience and/or qualifications in Quality/Auditing. Your day to day;
- Preparing management plans, procedures, scope of works, maintenance guides, quick reference guides, manuals, engineering specifications, forms, templates and other project related documentation
- Determining content specifications, key messages and document structure to best convey clear and concise information to the target audience
- Managing the preparation, collation, quality, format, presentation, production and submission of written information from external stakeholders and consultants
- Develop training material for Calibre produced scope, coordinate Vendor training package development, including alignment with Client requirements and coordination of training delivery as needed
- Provide support to the Quality Manager in audit activities including maintaining and following up audit actions, the implementation of training related to quality

- Relevant Qualifications such as; Communications, Commerce etc
- Intermediate level experience in Excel and Visio
- Industry knowledge and experience in Mining & Resources, ideally supporting major projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with the confidence to deliver training workshops to all levels of personnel
- Have formal training and demonstrated experience in quality management system (ISO9001:2015) or equivalent
