Northrop Grumman Australia partners with the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life support for its fleet of C-27J Spartan Airlifter aircraft. The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force’s existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies to support Humanitarian Disaster Relief and crisis response in Australia and nearby regions.
Your Role:
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our C-27J team in either Brisbane (RAAF Amberley) or Sydney (RAAF Richmond) to provide technical publications to C-27J Spartan Aircrew. In this role, you will gather, format, edit, and compile technical data. You will collaborate with engineers, and utilise FrameMaker software for publication editing and production. As a Technical Writer, you will primarily be responsible for updating and maintaining a suite of aircrew publications for the C-27J Spartan aircraft, ensuring technical endorsement of proposed changes, and providing in-service support to the RAAF. Compliance with policies and procedures is essential.
The Technical Writer is part of the Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) Services, Technical Publications team within the C-27J Program. You will closely collaborate with the Wing Compliance and Standards Officer (WCSO) of HQ 84 Wing (84WG) and the 35 Squadron (35 SQN) Aircrew Standards section. Your role will involve providing technical solutions and documentation to C-27J aircrew, adhering to management plans and associated work instructions.
