AddressWe’re currently recruiting for a Technical, Bid or Commercial Writer (or an Engineer) with experience in Strategic Asset Management ideally within the Rolling Stock space. This is a short-term contract role, working remotely with site visits only when needed.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Efficiently review draft documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established guidelines
- Evaluate provided feedback registers for comprehensive understanding of required revisions
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) within the client’s team to seek clarification and support where required
- Analyse and re-structure draft documents to enhance readability, logical flow, and reduce repetition
- Maintain consistently high-quality standards to deliver a polished and professional final product
Skills and Requirements
- Prior experience as a Bid, Commercial, or Technical Writer (including Engineers with related experience)
- Expertise in the development of documentation (Asset Management Plans, Standards, Specifications, Procedures, and/or similar)
- Knowledge and experience in Strategic Asset Management
- Experience in Rolling Stock would be ideal, however, we would consider other heavy industry experience (transport, defence, mining, aerospace, water, power, utilities etc.)
- Good written and spoken English language skills including the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels and develop detailed technical documentation
