Technical Writer

• 6 Month contract with a view to extend |Based in Sydney| Hybrid role
• Experience as a Technical Writer/Learning & Development Specialist within IT projects

Our client is urgently looking for a Technical Writer - L&D who will be responsible for writing and editing various types of IT documents. These documents include reports, policies, procedures, guidelines, training materials, presentations, awareness campaigns, and standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible to review, update, and maintain the existing documentation.

You will work on a range of projects where you will support the business with embedding change, or lifting capability by developing learning solutions across a range of mediums including face to face facilitation, educational videos, short e-learning packages and animations, that are engaging, accessible and interesting for our learners.

Key Skills Required:

• Experience as a Technical Writer/Learning and Development Specialist within IT projects
• Experience in developing and producing quality guided learning content for IT projects
• Demonstrated writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in development of and training staff on new technologies; video as learning content tools such as Camtasia and e-learning development tools such as Articulate (or similar) is essential.
• Experience in uplifting the quality of all L&D programs developed, to ensure they meet requirements and produce positive learner experiences and outcomes.
• Experience in consulting with stakeholders, to facilitate and develop a broad range of learning resources (face to face and virtual).
• Exceptional stakeholder management, face-to-face and virtual facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in conducting train the trainer sessions advantageous
• Aged care/ Not For Profit experience highly advantageous
