Job Details:
Job Summary: Undertake operational support for instrumentation and associated equipment employed in support of training exercises. This includes training users on the use of the equipment, managing the equipment during deployment and redeployment, conducting basic maintenance and fitment of equipment. This position also requires the incumbent to undertake basic maintenance tasks on Cubic’s deployable facilities. This role will require the incumbent to spend significant time deployed in the field.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct operator level function checking of equipment assigned for use on training exercises
Conduct minor operator level maintenance of equipment
Raise non-technical inspection reports to commence the maintenance process for damaged equipment
Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment, training facilities and vehicles used for exercise support
Assist the issue and receipt process for the instrumentation
Fit the instrumentation to the customer’s personnel and vehicles
Train the customer in the operation of the instrumentation
Assist the establishment and ongoing support of the contractor field accommodation during exercises
Asist in the reconstitution of field accommodation and associated ancillaries on return from an exercise period
Assist in the establishment and pack-up of deployable facilities
Assist with preventative maintenance for all assets
Assist in system stocktaking and customer directed audits
Follow equipment Standard Operating Procedures
May perform basic driving tasks at bases
May issue and receipt equipment utilising Cubic’s inventory management tool
May conduct battery management including charging and recharging of battery fleet, and preparation for exercise
May collect and maintain data on battery health statistics

Minimum Job Requirements:
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Eligibility to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Industry security clearance
Desirable
Hold a current Construction White Card
Medium Rigid driver’s licence
Forklift licence
Experience in audio stores or logistics
