ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking applicants from enthusiastic individuals who wish to pursue a career in our site services group as a Conveyor Technician.
You will work on belt cleaning systems and other mechanical apparatus across a conveyor system. It will involve implementing quality standards and providing cost-effective mechanical maintenance, inspection, installation, and repairs to conveyors in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Mudgee, and Boggabri areas of NSW.
This is a full-time position working 9.5 hours per day across a 4-day work week. We offer a competitive hourly rate and over time will be available by working a 5th day or weekends, if required. Payable travel rates are also offered.
For those successful applicants that hold current inductions such as Glencore/Yancoal, high risk tickets like rigging, EWP and a certificate of proficiency, upon successful completion of your probation period you will receive a $1,000 onboarding bonus.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be trades qualified in either fitting or boiler-making and capable of demonstrating previous experience in your selected trade. A sound knowledge of conveyor systems, belt cleaning equipment and other mechanical apparatus will be highly regarded. You will also possess an unwavering safe behaviour whilst performing all tasks, be able to communicate strongly, have a high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT
All successful applicants with TS Global will be required to undertake a full pre-employment medical, including a mines department physical, as well as drug and alcohol testing.
