Technology Analyst - Data Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Data Engineer to join our diverse, agile team. We are looking for a knowledgeable candidate to drive our data-first culture. You will have an analytical mind and be passionate about discovery, finding problems and opportunities for improvement, seeking innovative ways to improve and enhance efficiency and customer experiences.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Understand Sime Darby Motor's overall data estate, IT/business priorities and measures of success to design cloud-based data architectures using your deep, technical knowledge.

• Monitor and Management of Azure Data Warehouse.
• Develop automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Provide Data insights utilising BI tools, especially Power BI or QlikSense.
• Hands-on management of the SQL server and databases
• Deliver key Power BI reports and dashboards.

To be successful in this role you must offer the following:

• Minimum 2 year's experience in a role using BI solutions to develop insight-based reporting, especially Power BI.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a role using Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Warehouse.
• Background in full solution delivery lifecycle from design, implementations, operation and adoption
• Have a BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience
• Practical analytical skills to synthesis multiple complex data sets into easy to consume and actionable business insights.
• Advanced Excel skills
