The role
The Technology and IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and effective operation and maintenance of the underlying technology infrastructure utilised as a platform with the converged IT and OT Technology space.
As the Technology and IT Infrastructure you will be responsible for maintaining, trouble-shooting and ensuring the continuous improvement of site technology infrastructure, facilitating additions, removals and changes to technology systems and ensuring that statutory systems are maintained, audited and treated according to relevant legislation.
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualified you will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a 24x7x365 manufacturing or heavy industry operation. You will need to hold industry certification across networking (CCNP), system administration and disaster recovery. You will also need a thorough understanding of: IP data communications systems; wireless network administration and deployment; Windows, Linux, and embedded system administration; SQL database administration; remote access and administration tools; best practice backup and disaster recovery in 24x7x365 environments; equipment installation standards and Microsoft Active Directory administration and design.
