As a Telecommunications Wireless Rigger/Lines Worker, your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively within a small rigging team, focusing on the installation and maintenance of wireless communication systems and associated support structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installations and maintenance at heights on mobile phone base station structures, including antennas, feeders, and related equipment.
- Operate cranes, cherry pickers, and Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) as needed for on-site tasks.
- Execute rigging techniques for the installation of steelwork on structures, involving climbing monopoles, towers, and guyed masts with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Engage in various manual labor tasks to ensure successful project completion.
- Install antenna mounts on rooftops, poles, and towers utilizing ropes, winches, and rigging equipment.
- Apply earth kits and waterproof connectors.
- Set up earth systems.
- Implement labeling and tagging identification on feeders and tails.
- Install Hybrid fiber cable for Remote Radio Unit (RRU) equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible worksite at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience within the Telecommunications Wireless industry.
- 3+ years experience
- Profound understanding of rigging practices relevant to the field.
- Proficiency in the installation of hybrid trunk cables.
- Competence in terminating various coaxial cables.
- Capability to safely perform rigging duties at heights up to 100 meters.
- Strong team player with a customer-centric approach.
- Prior experience as part of a rigging crew on Optus, Telstra, or NBN Wireless projects is highly desirable.
- Possession of a valid Basic Riggers Ticket is mandatory.
