Telecommunications Rigger/Nbn Wireless Technician

We at Civilcom Group are a Specialised Telecommunication Company looking to expand. We are currently seeking skilled Telecommunication Riggers and NBN Wireless Technicians to join our Team. 

Job Description
In this role you will be responsible for upgrading and modifying existing wireless telecommunication sites including Mobile, Fixed Wireless and Broadcast. Your duties will also include:

• Working at heights and installation of mobile/broadcast antenna systems, RRU, feeders, Microwave Link install and panning.
• Installation/Erection of steelwork, monopoles, towers, as required on both Greenfield and Co-Lo sites.
• Installation and testing of hybrid cables
• PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault, terminating feeders, bird-proofing and waterproofing connectors
• Read and interpret construction/ As-built drawings and completing works to specification at a high standard
• Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers.
• Checking, maintain and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency, and calibration procedures
• Rigging and general work, as required by the company. Including site constructability inspections where there could be gaps and scope change

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience as telecommunication rigger
• Experienced in all service providers
• Current intermediate or advanced rigging ticket
• Able to supervise / lead a team of riggers
• Ability to work with EWP and cranes
• Experience in site setup and management to strict safety standards
• Working at heights and Perform Tower Rescue certified, with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e., climbing up to 80m). Previous climbing experience is essential
• Solid knowledge of telecommunications rigging techniques and best practice
• RadHaz / EME Awareness

     This position requires travel, the successful candidate must be available to travel as required.
