About the role:
Are you a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for medicinal cannabis? CANNALINK clinic is offering an exciting opportunity for a Telehealth Nurse Practitioner to join our team, specializing with anxiety & chronic pain conditions through access to medicinal cannabis.
This casual position allows you to work from home, offering flexibility and a chance to make a meaningful impact in patient healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to conduct patient assessments and triage via Telehealth.
- Educate patients on the practicalities of medicinal cannabis treatment and address their inquiries.
- Conduct treatment monitoring consultations via Telehealth.
- Serve as a primary contact for patients, responding to queries and escalating issues to medical practitioners when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with General Practitioners (GPs) and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct structured patient assessments via Telehealth with support from treating physicians.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry best practices.
Requirements for the role:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN) required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills.
Experience in medicinal cannabis medicine is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
