- Provide expert technical assistance in undertaking distribution of pharmaceuticals, participating in the preparation of manufactured products and error-free dispensing of prescriptions.
- Receive and dispense inpatient and outpatient prescriptions under direct but minimal supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Undertake purchasing and supply activities including data entry and invoicing for pharmaceuticals as required.

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible
- Completed a minimum of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate 111 issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital Pharmacy or Community Dispensary or be willing to work towards qualifications
- Demonstrated application of effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in provision of clinical pharmacy services and/or awareness of current issues in clinical pharmacy, including dispensing skills/techniques including calculation and measurement skills.
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care patient care.
- Proven organisational and problem solving skills including ability to work self-directed, with minimal supervision and in a busy environment.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Previous experience in the provision of technical support to a hospital pharmacy such as demonstrated advanced dispensing skills/techniques, experience in ordering pharmaceuticals and managing stock holdings, experience in aseptic &/or cytotoxic manufacturing and proven excellence in operation of imprest distribution system.
