Job description

The LGC project will unlock the current bottle neck on the South East Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast and is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
With extensive track upgrades, 9 new train stations, 5 level crossing removals, park 'n' ride upgrades and new active travel pathways, this transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers and businesses along the 20km corridor.
Reporting to the Business Manager (LGC) you lead, manage and coordinate financial management activities and team members to support successful delivery of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) and Loganlea Station Relocation projects.
Some of your responsibilities will include:- Provide high-level support to the Program Director, Business Manager and broader LGC team on project financial performance- Undertake regular project reviews in conjunction with project managers- Deliver efficient, high quality project reporting services- Provide specialist advice to the Project Director and Business Manager- Lead and deliver project control tasks- Lead, participate, guide and influence the development and continual improvement of project control practices- Pro-actively recommend and implement corrective actions to achieve or exceed baseline targets- Pro-actively manage project contingencies to ensure maximum flexibility within the program- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders that manage, report and deliver the RIDO programs and projects.- Encourage and actively promote a proactive, performance focused culture within the team.
A Degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institute in accounting, commerce or business administration would be highly regarded in this role, as well as being a member of CPA/ CA.
You will also have financial management experience, providing high level advice and recommendations that contribute to improving the financial outcomes for the project.
