Role purpose

The key purpose of the Tenancy Delivery Manager is to lead and champion the shop opening process and timely delivery of tenancies across Centres, to drive excellence across the Asset team and ensure capital efficiency initiatives are continually improved. 

The Tenancy Delivery Manager will establish a strategic framework that delivers value to our business across areas such as project management, cost management, new technologies, integration of key stakeholder objectives and effective management of procurement and shop delivery program. 

This will include:

  • Tenancy delivery management across a retail portfolio to ensure consistent processes are applied to the Tenancy Delivery process for retailers and delivery outcomes are achieved
  • Act as the central liaison between builders and fit-out contractors, retailers and shopping centre management teams
  • Collaborate with Leasing Executives and Regional Development Managers to achieve great outcomes for all tenants
  • Completing RFI’s in the required time frame as set out in SLA’s with Leasing 
  • Control meeting minutes and milestone deadlines for the shop opening program
  • Drive project outcomes and deadlines
  • Travel to portfolio centres weekly/fortnightly
  • Accurate and timely cost estimates 
  • Accurate and timely administering of purchase orders, receipt of goods and job cost reporting

What will you bring?

  • You will be an experienced Tenancy Delivery Manager with experience in the retail shopping centre environment. 
  • You will be known for your ability to foresee Tenancy Delivery issues before they manifest and put in place contingencies that avoid compromised outcomes. 
  • You have demonstrated expertise in creating delivery strategies, project feasibilities and review of base building to identify tenancy scope gaps.
  • You are motivated and driven to identify and encourage cost saving measures in construction, time saving measures in programming and efficiencies in Tenancy Delivery process – reviewing contractor quotes and information provided and identifying scope gaps or over scoping. 
  • Good time management, a high degree of flexibility and good problem-solving skills are a must.  

Success in this role will be determined by your ability to influence both your internal and external customers, creating strategic alliances to ensure timely delivery of each tenancy and providing commercially meaningful advice.

You influence through highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to apply a strategic ‘whole of business’ lens to all interactions. You pride yourself on ensuring clear communications are maintained at all times and clear objectives are collaboratively worked towards. 

You naturally demonstrate leadership ability and can adapt your style with ease to work with a variety of different stakeholders, seeking to understand what drives and motivates them, and using this insight to unite stakeholders within a trusted partnership.
