About the RoleAs a
Terminal Operator, you are responsible for the coordination, planning, efficient assembly and dismantling of trains within the terminal as well as forklift driving and operating a reach stacker.You will also be responsible for processing freight and operating documentation into a computerised system, undertaking train examinations and brake testing activities whilst above all, adhering to safe-working and operating procedures.Shift work is applicable.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will be a team player who thinks ahead and enjoys a challenge. This is a role that requires a responsible and accountable individual who will efficiently and safely undertake all forklift and potentially take up shunting activities.In addition, you will ideally have:
- Heavy forklift licence
- CV High Risk Licence
- Full Driver's licence
- General computer proficiency is required
- Experience in train inspection, ground shunt and track side safety preferred
- Shunt driver qualifications will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in logistics, transport or the rail industry is preferred
