Summary
To control, administer and maintain quality systems processes in the document control function at BDI Surgery. The role is responsible for overall coordination of controlled documents, system administration, training compliance and record retention, which includes the management of records in the EDMS (Electronic Documentation Management System), LMS (Learning Management System) and JDE ERP system.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and Learning Management System (LMS) administrator (e.g., maintain accurate users, assign passwords and privileges, update training requirements, etc.)
- Ensure timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents
- Control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents
- Process Change Requests (CRs) through to final release
- Maintain Engineering Drawings, Raw Material Specifications, Manufacturing Procedures, Inspection Plans and other production documentation.
- Data entry and maintenance of manufacturing systems including Item Master, Bills of Material and Routings.
- Create change requests and update documentation as necessary
- Maintain records in accordance with record retention policies
- Maintain traceability of archive storage files
- Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the External Standards Library
- Provide all user levels with EDMS and LMS system support.
- Assign user training in collaboration with supervisor
- Support internal and external audits/inspections
- Other duties as required.
Education and/ or Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- Two years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration across business functions
- Ability to aggressively drive results in multiple projects simultaneously
- Use of Microsoft Office software to generate formal procedures, control logs and databases
- Understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) overall documentation systems
- Ability to work with minimal direction
