Test Analyst

We have an opportunity with a Federal Government Department where they are seeking a Test analyst to join a small team of testers. Working to the Test Lead, Project Manager/s or Program Manager, the candidate should be adaptable, as allocation will be across different test phases of the project.This is a 12-month contract role, with the possibility of a further 12 months extension. Head office is based in Canberra (ACT), however flexible and remote working arrangements available from interstate and considered on a case-by-case basis.Candidate must have the ability to quickly learn new applications, with excellent time management skills to plan, execute and report on multiple projects with parallel deadlines.As part of AMSAs test team, the candidate will have the opportunity be part of AMSAs digital transformation journey. They will contribute by testing new solutions and automating the existing solutions for regression. The person will work with bespoke and COTS technologies used for delivering AMSAs services in Maritime Regulation. This includes, but is not limited to, existing middleware and platform upgrades, Dynamics(365), MS Teams, Power BI etc.The role will be required to liaise and coordinate test activities with developers, business analyst, subject matter experts and end users across all divisions in AMSAPlease note, to apply applicants must have the following:

• The requisite skill and experience defined below,
• Mandatory to be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance,
• At least 5+ year's relevant local working experience in the field.

Essential criteria

• Provide a statement demonstrating how your skills and experience can successfully analyse requirements, plan & execute tests, raise & resolve defects in an organization.
• Demonstrate your ability and understanding of SDLC framework using Agile methodology
• Provide an example demonstrating your ability and willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies, roles and responsibilities within a transformative environment.
• Provide a statement demonstrating your ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Should have ISTQB Foundation certification

Desirable criteria

• Knowledge of any testing tool such as JIRA, DevOps
• Knowledge of COTS product such as Microsoft CRM
• Knowledge of Azure
