About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting, new opportunity for a Test and Integration Engineer to join our program based in Melbourne, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for testing the functionality of the software team's latest innovations whilst having the opportunity to work on a new autonomous system.
Showcase your skills as you manage your own engineering tasks and support the Lead Test and Integration Engineer in a continuously growing team that supports your development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing test requirements, test plans, test cases, and test procedures for new autonomous systems.
- Complete the integration and testing of various aspects of new autonomous systems.
- Support the software engineering team in integration and testing of software components.
Essential Skills
You will have formal qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline such as Aerospace, Mechatronics, Software, Electronics, or Software.
You will have used DOORS and IBM Engineering Test Manager in previous positions.
You will have been a key part of an integration and test team on another project.
Bonus Extras
Having all or some of the below will make you stand out from the crowd:
- Experience in autonomous systems and, integration and test engineering
- Experience in safety critical systems design and related standards such as ARP4754A, ARP94910, DO-178C and DO-331
- Chartered Professional Engineer
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional
- Australian Government Security Clearance to Negative Vet Level 1 or eligibility to obtain
