About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Test and Integration Engineer to join our Red Ochre program based at Melbourne, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for working in a team environment and conducts all test and integration related activities in accordance with relevant project procedures and work instructions. The Senior Test and Integration Engineer may be asked to provide leadership through provision of mentoring to junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute integration, test and evaluation plans
- Undertake system requirements analysis of test systems (i.e. test equipment, instrumentation, etc)
- Develop operations manuals and training plans for test and evaluation activities
- Develop and execute test procedures to verify requirements are met
- Work effectively as part of the test team and provide guidance and mentoring to team members, as required
- Provide input and offer recommendations for improvement of company processes and standard procedure
- Responsible for complying with requirements of BAE Systems Australia Quality Systems as they relate to own areas of activity
- Demonstrated experience in the test and evaluation of complex products
- Exposure to working with heavy vehicles
- Understanding of requirements management in a Systems Engineering framework
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a NV1 clearance
