Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Test Development Specialist who will play a crucial role in overseeing the production and publishing of OET test materials in various language skill areas. You will work collaboratively within a team to ensure test materials are designed, reviewed, amended, proofread, and published in a timely manner and that they meet quality standards and align with guidelines. Additionally, you will assist with other tasks, including the production of assessor training materials and other projects, to support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of test materials to ensure timely delivery and alignment with guidelines.
- Review test papers and associated materials, collating reviewer recommendations and making appropriate decisions.
- Conduct final sign-off of test materials, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test production process and author/update process documentation.
- Assist in the development of assessor training materials and other test/assessment-related materials.
- Coordinate with external resources to ensure accurate review of test materials.
- Allocate test items to test administrations and assist with the training and evaluation of external resources.
- Assist in implementing specific Test Development projects and support assessment-related activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Education-related field.
- Related studies in English language assessment, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of quality assessment principles and rigorous quality and security systems.
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work on multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines.
- Experience in writing, proofreading, or editing, with teaching ESL to adult learners and design/moderation of ESL assessment as preferred.
- Ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a professional, positive, and supportive manner.
