The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Test Engineer to join the Assets and Operations team here at apa. You will be responsible for the provision of efficient testing services to optimise delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer you would be responsible for:
- Providing input to the design and development of Test Execution plans.
- Active participation in and contribution to agile ceremonies, including but not limited to sprint planning, prioritisation and estimating tasks.
- Developing high quality test case suites for feature, regression, integration and performance testing scenarios.
- Participating in Kick-off Meetings (Requirement analysis) and be able to define scenarios and acceptance tests based on acceptance criteria.
- Test preparation (with Test Data) and execution activities in line with the test strategy and plans.
- Performing Exploratory Testing
- Automation of test cases using the available test automation framework.
- Timely and effective recording and reporting of test results, including defect identification and reporting, re-testing and regression testing.
Your background
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer with 5+ years of cumulative experience in manual and automation testing. In addition to this, we are seeking experience with behaviour driven development (BDD) and acceptance test driven development (ATDD), demonstrated experience in developing test automation framework using open-source tools such as selenium using cucumber BDD, experience in development and Devops tools (Java, IntelliJ, bitbucket/git, Teamcity). Experience working with agile and hybrid working methodologies with the supported tools Jira, confluence, Zephyr is also highly preferential, as well as experience within the utilities domain and/or with energy components (EC) more specifically.
In conjunction with the technical skills, we are seeking an individual who has demonstrated success in building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
