Test Engineer

About The OPPORTUNITYKinetic IT are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our team. If you're passionate about quality assurance and have a strong background in testing web applications, we want to hear from you.

If you were here yesterday, these are some of the things you would be involved in:

• Perform functional (front and backend testing), integration, and regression testing for web applications.
• Ability to reproduce defects in the test systems and write replication steps.
• Proficiency in Selenium with C# for test automation.
• Develop and execute test cases for Automation Testing using Selenium - C# language.
• Strong understanding of web application testing, including front-end and back-end testing.
• Ability to write and execute test cases, report defects, and verify fixes.
• Familiarity with web applications using Microsoft technologies, including C# and .NET.
• Responsible for developing test plans that outline the scope of testing, testing objectives, and the overall testing strategy. Working closely with stakeholders to define testing requirements and expectations.
• Design test cases and test scenarios based on software requirements and specifications. These test cases cover various aspects of the software, including functional, non-functional, and performance testing.
• Execute test cases to verify that the software functions as intended and meets quality standards. This involves running both manual and automated tests to identify defects or issues in the software.
• Defect Reporting
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes or features do not introduce new defects or negatively impact existing functionality.
• Perform integration testing to verify that different parts of the software work seamlessly together.
• Performance testing, which involves assessing the software's speed, scalability, and resource usage to ensure it can handle expected workloads.
• Automation Testing
• Continuous Improvement: enhance testing processes and methodologies.
• Help verify that the software is being built correctly (verification) and validate that it meets the customer's requirements (validation).

Keen to get involved? You’ll just need some of the following:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of testing experience as a Senior Tester.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test processes, and testing tools.
• Experience in using DevOps Test Plans or Jira for creating test suites, test plans, and test cases.
• Experience in Testing Web applications that use Microsoft technologies C#, .NET.
• Experience in Testing ServiceNow
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
