About the role
Due to continued growth, Liebherr-Adelaide is seeking an experienced and qualified Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to compliment afternoon shift (2pm to 10.06pm). Reporting to the Team Leader, Remanufacturing – You will be responsible for the provision of safe, efficient and compliant; NDT and technical support services to the Division’s Re-manufacturing Team and Customers.
Duties
- Perform visual, magnetic particle inspection and ultra-sonic testing of parts
- Perform ultra-sonic testing of welds and mechanical joints
- Report writing - Technical
- Inspect components for conformity with established standards
- Apply quality control techniques
- Request spare parts
- Operate workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment
- Use and maintain Hand tools
- Maintain a very high standard of housekeeping at all times
Skills & experience
- Australian Institute of Non Destructive Testing (AINDT) Level 1 Certification or similar
- Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical)
- Proven minimum 5 years relevant experience
- High Risk Licence LF, DG, & EWP all highly desirable
- Ability to inspect work for conformity with established standards
- Able to work independently
