About the team
In this position of a Test Manager, you will report into the Delivery Manager - Digital.
Your primary objective will be the development of a IT test strategy inclusive of test phases definition and breakdown, scope alignment, test delivery estimation, test schedule definition, test data strategy and roles & responsibilities.
Development and enhancement of testing methods and tools required to support the program including; test planning, results capture, defect management, execution planning, test progress reporting and summary reports. This needs to accommodate program, Coles and 3rd party vendor needs.
Development of a Test Delivery strategy, in particular the role and use of 3rd party test services providers for the program and consideration of the larger Coles environment
Manage relationship with external vendors / partners relating to testing functions, including ensuring adherence to quality measurements defined in SOWs/Agreements
Monitor the progress of testing and provide support to the test delivery across the program by way of SME input, coaching and issue management.
In Adherence to Enterprise Test Strategy
Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include the following but not be limited to:
- Development of Program Test Strategy
- Working with stakeholders to achieve buy-in and endorsement of Test Strategy
- Working with Workstream Leads to ensure Test Strategy is deliverable and aligns to program objectives
- Proactive management of testing stream
- Work with other Program Workstream Leads to adopt the required processes and procedures to execute testing successfully
- Provide the required coaching to Test Phase Leads to deliver successfully
- Define requirements for tools needed to execute testing and sponsor their development if required.
- Manages external stakeholders to successfully deliver on agreed strategies
- Monitor the Planning and Execution of test phases as they progress through the program for quality and completeness
- Understands the agenda and needs of key relevant stakeholders and adapts working style to adapt to stakeholder expectations
- Establishes rapport and builds and maintains effective working relationships with senior leadership and cross functional teams
- Manage to resolution any testing related issues
- Develops mutual professional trust and confidence with stakeholder map
- Implement changes that deliver improved Test execution over BAU levels

- Proven ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders not experienced in large scale test delivery to achieve buy-in and support.
- Experience in delivering testing in large scales programs (in excess of 10K days effort)
- Proven strategic thinking capability

- Proven Ability to manage risk-based testing in a critical and highly available environment
- Proven Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
