The Role
• Ensure that projects are fully tested against requirements so as to ensure high quality implementation of systems and changes.
• Handle support tickets raised by the business. The ownership of managing these tickets will sit with the role.
• To create acceptance criteria as a part of the support requests raised and test all items. Responsible for the approval of all tests/QA.
• Ensure that users are supported with UAT on implementation projects as well as with BAU support.
• Be aware of widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe, and other applications to allow for quick and effective resolution of user issues.
Required skills
Specific
• 2+ years of experience in IT and quality control.
• Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and how testing fits into the process.
• Devise and develop test plans and use cases and build test data.
• Conduct thorough testing of new and changed systems to ensure proper functionality & operation.
• Execute testing/QA documentation and administration and ensure they meet business needs and work together seamlessly.
• Reviewing and approving test results.
• Developing and tracking test metrics.
• Ensure sufficient testing by subject matter experts across the business.
• Ensure sufficient testing across mobile and desktop devices.
• Work with the BA/PM to understand the defects raised by the business.
• Work with the implementation teams to implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Train employees in using software and hardware and provide technical support when needed.
• Review and triage issues raised by users of operational systems.
• Develop and implement test plans for all raised issues.
• Familiarity with relevant tools such as Monday, JIRA, Trello, or other project management and
collaboration software.
