Insignia Financial is excited to announce the creation of the new Testing Community of Practice (CoP) Lead position, a key part of our transformative Delivery Model. This role is pivotal in embedding and guiding the Testing Community of Practice (CoP), aligning with our commitment to a united, efficient, and effective way of working across the organisation.

The Role

This role is integral to our mission of implementing a unified, efficient and effective way of working across the organisation. You'll be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, guiding community growth, and ensuring that our practices in testing align with our organisational goals and delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic vision for the Testing CoP, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, and emphasising the integration of modern testing practices like quality engineering, test automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Provide coaching and talent development within the CoP with a focus on upskilling advanced testing methodologies, including automated testing and quality engineering principles.
  • Cultivate a dynamic, self-organised and collaborative CoP environment, where innovation in testing is shared and implemented.
  • Create a continuous learning and improvement culture within the CoP that emphasises staying current with emerging testing technologies and methodologies, continually enhancing testing practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and professional growth among members. Organise workshops and sessions on the latest trends in testing, such as AI-driven testing, quality engineering, and test automation frameworks.
  • Establish and reinforce best practices, standards, and tools within the testing domain. Incorporate the latest tools and practices in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and quality engineering into the CoP's standard methodologies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to CoP members, encouraging professional development and expertise in testing.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of testing practices, learning and capability across the organisation, driving continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for the Delivery Model of Insignia Financial, providing work assurance and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in testing, incorporating innovative approaches into the CoP.
  • Develop and maintain the job architecture for Testers, ensuring this reflects the skills required for modern testing approaches, and aiding in recruitment and onboarding of talent.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

You will have a track record of leading discussions on advanced testing methodologies. A key must for this role is your ability to demonstrate how you foster a collaborative and innovative community that adopts cutting-edge testing practices and technologies. You will bring innovative ideas and contribute new approaches to enhance the testing function, particularly in automation and quality engineering. Prior experience in a similar role within a large corporate organisation is preferred. An added advantage would be experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services, although candidates without such experience are still encouraged to apply.
